People who are convicted of certain minor crimes will no longer have their driver's license suspended, under a law that took effect Monday in Pennsylvania. People found guilty of offenses such as buying tobacco as a minor, underage drinking or certain minor drug crimes will be allowed to keep their driver's license.State lawmakers said the change was made because the mandatory license suspension prevented people with past convictions from moving on with their lives, including making it difficult for them to get to jobs.People who commit crimes while driving will still have their driver's license suspended.
