Dick Gallagher’s Commentary
Week 7 games in the Msgr. Martin association will feature 3 games between League A and League B: Timon at Canisius, Cardinal O’Hara at St. Joe’s and St. Mary’s at St. Francis. All 3 games will be blowouts and over in the first quarter. An association rule calls for teams from League B to play 2 teams from League A. This rule should be rescinded. The current overall record for League B teams are 2-13 and they are being outscored by a total of 374 to 105 points. This isn’t fair to the teams.
At one time, The Msgr. Martin Association had 16 teams. Today, there are only 6. The teams in League B should not be scheduled to play League A teams. They should instead schedule games against other teams in Section VI or Section V in Rochester.
