Police release photos of person of interest in homicide
Police were called to 1100 SW Gage around 11:30 Wednesday night.
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Police have released photos of a person of interest in a homicide that killed an innocent bystander Wednesday night.
“Detectives are asking anyone that might recognize the individual in the picture or the vehicle, to please email telltpd@topeka.org or call the Topeka Police Criminal Investigation Bureau at 785-368-9400,” they said in a release.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police are investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of SW Gage that left a woman dead.
Police were called to the Valero around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night and found evidence of shots being fired. While continuing their investigation, police found shell casings in the street, then located the victim at a nearby home.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Police told 13 NEWS they believe two people were exchanging fire and the woman was an innocent bystander.
Police are searching for suspects at this time but did not provide any details.
Lt. John Trimble told 13 NEWS the 1100 block of Gage Blvd. will likely be shut down until mid-morning while investigators comb the scene.
This is Topeka’s 17th homicide of 2020.
