16-year-old dies in southeast Topeka shooting
A 16-year-old who was found in his car suffering from a gunshot wound Thursday has died, according to the Topeka Police Dept.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Witnesses told TPD the shooter was in a blue sedan, which left in an unknown direction.
Officers were en route to another report of shots fired at another location when they received the call about the shooting. The earlier report, which came around 3:40 p.m., placed the gunshots in the area of SE Fremont St. and SE Irvingham St., near where a 16-year-old girl
earlier this week.
