More than two dozen guns were reportedly stolen during a burglary at a Topeka home.

According to the Topeka Police Dept., thirty pistols, rifles, and shotguns were taken from a home in the 1800 block of SW Fairlawn Rd. sometime Tuesday evening.

Like any other time a gun is stolen, investigators are concerned that the weapons could end up in the hands of someone who would use it to commit a crime.

Anyone with information about the burglary or saw something suspicious in the area is asked to contact the Topeka Police Dept. at 785-368-9400.

TPD is also reminding gun owners to secure all of their firearms and to not tell anyone where they are stored.
