United States Attorney General William Barr is making the trip from the U.S. Capitol to the Capital City later this week, according to Sen. Jerry Moran's Office.

He's coming to Topeka as part of a two-stop trip to Kansas. He'll be in Topeka on Wednesday morning before heading down to Wichita that afternoon.

Moran, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee's subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Related Agencies, invited Barr to the Sunflower State as part of his work on the committee, Moran's Office explained.

The subcommittee has oversight of Barr's Dept. of Justice.

The specific times and locations of Barr's visits have not been nailed down yet. 13 NEWS will provide updates as more information becomes available.
