One Boy Scouts troop will be getting their miles in this weekend.

The Perry BSA Troop 88 is walking from Lecompton to Topeka Saturday. They are following the Historical Kansas Capitols Trail, which connects the two towns.

The trail starts in the original Territorial Capital (Lecompton) and leads to the current Capital (Topeka) of what became a free state around the time of the Civil War. The trail leads hikers through several structures and places that date back to the late 1800s, including two points of the Oregon Trail.

After the 20 mile hike, Troop 88 will finish their day camping out at Tecumseh Park.
