Corteo by Cirque Du Soleil hits Topeka this week
Circus lovers get excited! Corteo - one of the most loved Cirque Du Soleil productions has arrived in Topeka for a limited time.
Thursday, April 18th will be the first of five acrobatic and circus-like performances, running through Sunday at the Kansas Expocentre.
Corteo follows the story of a clown picturing his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, and organizers say you can expect a lot of fun and spontaneity during the show.
For a ticket starting at just $44 folks will see 51 acrobats, musicians, singers, and actors from all around the world.
"The show is a tribute to a traditional circus.” Corteo publicist Maxwell Batista explained. “You have acts like juggling, hula-hoops, we have teeterboards which is like a tall see-saw... so it’s many different acts where you're going to see people flying above the stage and walking through the stage doing some amazing things."
