Formal charges have been filed against the man who was found in a Colorado motel with a teen girl from Topeka.

District Attorney Mike Kagay said he's charging Michael Fitzgerald with Aggravated Interference with Parental Custody and Contributing to a Child's Misconduct.

Kagay said Fitzgerald's bond has been set at $250,000 and a first appearance has been set for February 11th.

Michael Fitzgerald was arrested Thursday, January 24th in Cortez, Colorado.

A 14-year-old Topeka girl was with him.

Topeka Police were able to track down the two using a GPS navigation system in Fitzgerald's pickup.

The teen told officers she was not taken against her will.
