A gunshot was fired during an armed robbery at a Dollar General store Tuesday night, Topeka Police said.
TPD says two men walked into the SW 10th and Fairlawn location around 9:15 p.m. At least one of them had a gun, and the suspects demanded money from the two clerks who were working inside the store.
At some point, TPD says, a gunshot was fired, however they say the suspect may have fired a weapon accidentally. No one was hurt.
TPD says the two men were given some cash, and fled. They have not yet located the men, and further descriptions of them were not available late Tuesday.
Anyone with information on the robbery should contact Shawnee Co. Crime Stoppers, 785-234-0007.
