Missing Topeka man found alive

A missing man has been found in Shawnee County, Sheriff Brian C. Hill says.

Sixty-eight-year old Bruce W. Jensen has been located under a bridge, in the 9500 block of SW Auburn Road, in his overturned 2014 Nissan pickup truck.

On January 21st around 10 p.m., The Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a missing man from the 9700 block of SW Deer Trail Street. Sheriff's deputies responded and began an investigation. Bruce W. Jensen, 68, of Topeka was reported last seen around 6:30 p.m. Deputies made multiple attempts to locate Mr. Jensen throughout the night.

On January 22nd around 1:15 p.m., Mr. Jensen was located in his overturned 2014 Nissan pickup truck under a bridge in the 9500 block of SW Auburn Road. Mr. Jensen and his red fox lab were both safely rescued from the truck. Mr. Jensen was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
