More than 3,700 Westar customers were without power in southwest Topeka

A pair of power outages have left more than 3,700 Westar customers in southwest Topeka in the dark.

According to

, the outages were first reported just before 11 a.m. They mainly span the area between SW 29th and 27th Streets and SW Fairlawn and Wanamaker Roads, as well as the surrounding area.

By 1:15 p.m., the number of customers without power were down to 86.
