Sheriff: Topeka man found sleeping in stolen truck, arrested

A Topeka man was arrested Monday after reportedly falling asleep in the truck he is suspected of stealing.
According to the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Office, Dylan Wayne Massey was sleeping in a pickup that was reported stolen out of Wabaunsee Co., near Eskridge.
Deputies found 28-year-old Massey there around 8 a.m. after they responded to a report of a truck backed into a driveway near 118th and U.4 Road, near Hoyt, Sheriff Tim Morse explained.
Massey was booked into the Jackson Co. Jail on a lone count of felony theft and is awaiting bond, Morse added.
