Topeka Metro riders can now track buses in real-time

It is now more convenient than ever to ride the bus in Topeka.

The Topeka Metro announced Tuesday that their customers can now track the location of buses in real-time.

Topeka Metro says the app allows users to view specific routes, see where the busses are in real-time, provide locations for each bus stop, and sends alerts to passengers when there's a detour or delay.

The app is called "DoubleMap" and is free to download via iTunes or GooglePlay. You can also access DoubleMap feature on

Topeka Metro says they will soon be adding another system that allows passengers to get real-time information by texting a specific number.
