Driver escapes injury in Lansing car fire

A car was destroyed after catching fire in Lansing.

Lansing police responded to a report of a car on Friday, Aug. 23 around midnight in the 1000 block of Edgewood Boulevard.

The driver told officers he ran over and dragged some debris before he started to smell smoke, police said.

The car caught fire shortly after the driver got out of the car.

No one was hurt in the incident.
