Lansing woman arraigned on assault charges

UPDATE:

Debera Theressa Black, 35, of Lansing, was arraigned Friday on two charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder after the physical fight Thursday night with two other women.

Black's next court appearances is scheduled for Feb. 21.

A few women got into a knife fight at around 7:45 p.m. Thursday on the 4200 block of Jolly Road in Lansing.

Police say the three women knew each other.

According to police, a verbal argument inside a home turned physical and lead to the suspect cutting two of the women with a knife.

A 22-year-old from Lansing was taken to the hospital for a stab wound to the face.

A 49-year-old woman from Lansing, with a wound on her shoulder, refused treatment.

The suspect, age 35, was located near the home where the argument started and was arrested.
