The Lansing Lugnuts will honor one of the capitol city's most famous faces this weekend.

A tribute night will be held at Cooley Law School Stadium on July 20th for Burt Reynolds.

The Lugnuts made the announcement by showing off special jerseys for the night on Twitter back in February.

The team will wear black colored "Smokey and the Bandit" themed jerseys.

Burt Reynolds died Sept. 6, 2018 at age of 82.

He was born on Feb. 11, 1936 in Lansing and used to live in a home on the 1700 block of Donora Street.

The Lugnuts say the first 1,000 fans to show up at Cooley Law School Stadium on July 20 will get a free Burt Reynolds bobblehead.
