An 11-year-old girl was wounded in a hail of gunfire late Tuesday night, Milwaukee Police said.
Officers were called to the scene near 44th and Locust streets around 11:30 p.m for reports of a shooting, according to a news release.
Investigators said they believe a suspect intentionally fired multiple gunshots into a home while people were inside.
One of those bullets went through a window and grazed the 11-year-old victim, a District 7 police officer told WISN 12 news.
She was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released.
Police said they continue to search for suspects in the case.
They have not what may have led to the shooting.
Investigators said Thursday that two people of interest were in custody.
Their names have not yet been released.
So far, no charges have been filed.
