Two people who died earlier this month when the tractor-trailer they were in went off Interstate 90 and into Mirror Lake were from Kentucky, officials said. The driver was identified as Timothy Green, 39, and his 24-year-old passenger Devenna Patterson. Both were from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Green's body was found shortly after the crash. Patterson's body was found the next day. A Wisconsin State Patrol spokesperson said a damaged guardrail just north of the Mirror Lake bridge near the Wisconsin Dells was discovered at about 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 17. Wheel tracks led off the right ditch cliff into Mirror Lake, where the submerged tractor-trailer was found.Lake Delton and Sauk County EMS crews were called in to recover the occupants, and the Department of Natural Resources was called in to handle the diesel spill.Both lanes of the interstate were closed in order to pull the truck out of the water. The cause of the crash remains unclear.
