Thousands still without power across Eastern North Carolina

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Thousands of people in North Carolina are now experiencing power outages since Hurricane Isaias started toward Eastern Carolina.

Even since the storm has downgraded to a tropical storm, thousands are still stuck in the dark. According to Jones-Onslow Electric Membership Corporation, more than half of their 76,000 customers are without power.

According to Greenville Utilities, more than 5,000 customers are without power. The company says more than 3,700 customers are affected in Greenville.
