There are some new ground rules when it comes to plaques going on city property.

As we reported some commissioners were unhappy because the marker at at walking track at the Brigham Center did not have their names on it.

Only the Mayor, Administrator, and the Recreation Director, this caused the marker to be removed to it can be replace.

This afternoon   new policy was  approved  that says going forward all the writing on plaques going on city property must be pre-approved by commissioners.

“I think that’s an automatic I mean how do you make a decision to put your name on it to put a directors name on it the mayor’s name on it but not the commission who makes that decision so those are conscience moves I think we’re just disrespectful at the end of the day I have serious problems with it I let that be known from day one,” says Commissioner Ben Hasan.

Commissioners did not approve one part of the proposed new policy that said a plaque would automatically go on all  city projects costing more than one million dollars.
