TODAY IS THE áLAST DAY OF THE STATE'S "DRIVER SUSPENSION ELIGIBILITY WEEK"... GIVING DRIVERS WITH SUSPENDED LICENSES A CHANCE AT FORGIVENESS. DRIVERS CAN REDUCE, OR EVEN áCLEAR THEIR REMAINING SUSPENSION TIME... HOWEVER, FEES WILL áNOT BE WAIVED. THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF SUSPENSIONS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM. (WJCL) Head's up for driver's in South Carolina:Friday, March 22 is the last day of the state’s Driver Suspension Eligibility Week, giving drivers with suspended licenses a chance at forgiveness.Drivers can reduce or even clear their remaining suspension time; however, fees will not be waived.There are several types of suspension eligible for the program.1. Driving Under Suspension2. Excessive Points for a Minor3. Operating/Allowing Operation of Uninsured Vehicle4. Operating Unlicensed Taxi5. Uninsured Motorists (non-owner)To apply, you have to fill out the Driver Suspension Eligibility Application and take it to a South Carolina DMV branch by 5 p.m. Friday, March 22.Driver's won't have this opportunity again until 2020.
