A man in Avery County, North Carolina, had to run for his life to escape a collapsing awning.
The event was captured on camera as heavy snow caused the awning to collapse at a gas station in Linville.
The awning crushed a car and nearly missed the man.
The owner of the station says the awning was designed to hold 20 pounds per-square-foot of snow.
He says he has never seen a gas station come down like the way the one did in North Carolina.
