TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — Two people have died after a weekend crash in Trigg County, Kentucky.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. 86 and Highway 139.
According to Kentucky State Police, Brandon Hare failed to yield at a stop sign and his car was hit on the passenger side by a pick-up truck.
Troopers said Hare, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his 20-year-old passenger, Jarod Ballengee passed away at a hospital.
The 24-year-old driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Trigg County Hospital and was then moved to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for further treatment, investigators explained. His two passengers, ages 23 and 69, were treated at Trigg County Hospital and later released.
State police said an autopsy and toxicology would be conducted Monday on the deceased driver. The crash remains under investigation.
