Researchers at “Smart Asset” compared rent prices across the country from 2014 to 2017. 

Nashville ranks #7 for the greatest rent increases. 

The average price here jumped 37% to a monthly average of $1,499. 

The biggest jump overall in the U.S. was in Detroit
