One man has been indicted after Kentucky State Police say he drug an officer alongside his car.

An ongoing investigation has indicted that 38-year-old Zindell Lindle ran from Frankfort Police when he was confronted by officers Friday night, according to police. When Lindle reportedly failed to comply with the officer’s instructions a trooper attempted to arrest him.

Police say in the ensuing confrontation Lindle then drug a trooper alongside his vehicle. After issuing verbal commands to stop the car the trooper eventually discharged his weapon, striking Lindle, in an attempt to stop the car, according to police.

Lindle had been taken to the hospital following the incident and underwent surgery, according to police. He is charged with wanton endangerment and fleeing and evading police.
