A prolific serial killer is now accused of murdering a woman on a Kentucky farm in 1981.

A grand jury in Warren County has indicted Samuel Little, 78, with one count of murder in the death of Linda Sue Boards.

Boards was found dead in 1981 on a farm in Smiths Grove.

The FBI alerted Kentucky State Police about a lead in the case in September, as a database helped link the murder to Little, as Boards was killed in a similar fashion to others connected to the serial killer.

Kentucky State Police traveled to Texas where Little is currently held, and they were able to present evidence to the grand jury leading to his indictment.

Little remains in the Wise County Detention Center in Texas.
