Coroner identifies body of woman found shot to death on Breton St.
The body of a white female was found just before 9:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Breton Street near Montgomery Street.
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a woman’s body was found in Jackson Sunday morning.
The body of a white female was found just before 9:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Breton Street near Montgomery Street.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart identified the victim as 19-year-old Maggie Jones of Aubrey, Texas.
According to officials, the body appeared to have been there for hours before being discovered.
Police say they do not know if the shooting happened where her body was found or at another location.
There is currently no known suspect or motive.
According to the Hinds County Coroner, Sharon Grisham-Stewart, the victim had no identification on her when she was found.
