REPORTER: HISTORY IS WRITTEN ALL OVER THE WALLS FROM PAST DERBY WINNERS TO FAMOUS PEOPLE WHO HAVE STOPPED IN FOR A BITE TO EAT AT WAGNER’S PHARMACY. >> THEY ASK FOR CERTAIN THINGS AND I TRIED TO MAKE IT FOR THEM. REPORTER: PAM IS THE CHEF HERE AFTER 21 YEARS, SHE ALSO MANAGES THE KITCHEN. AND IT KEEPS HER MOVING. >> I AM TRYING TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS TOGETHER. REPORTER: FROM THE CLASSIC BREAKFAST TO THE BURGERS, THE ORDERS ARE STACKING UP. >> I HAVE AT LEAST 10 POUNDS OF MACARONI AND CHEESE, 15 POUNDS OF GREEN BEANS, COLESLAW ABOUT 10 OR 15, AND WE WILL SELL IT ALL OUT. >> IT IN -- REPORTER: IT IS AN ATMOSPHERE THAT WELCOMES REGULARS AND NEWCOMERS. Food Network is calling Wagner's Pharmacy one of the best diners in the country.The world-famous diner has been in business since 1922 and is only a stone's throw away from Churchill Downs.Wagner's is known for its home-cooking and being a gathering place for Derby winners, trainers and jockeys."If these walls could talk we would have a movie that's great, a number one seller," said Pam Pryor, chef and kitchen manager. It's an atmosphere that welcomes regulars and newcomers, who Pryor said can order whatever they like."That's how you keep your customers, as long as their happy and you keep them happy, they'll keep coming back and they'll stay with you," said Pryor.Next year, Wagner's Pharmacy will celebrate 100 years of business.For more history and information, click here.
