Food Network names Louisville diner best in Kentucky
Food Network is calling Wagner's Pharmacy one of the best diners in the country.
The world-famous diner has been in business since 1922 and is only a stone's throw away from Churchill Downs.
Wagner's is known for its home-cooking and being a gathering place for Derby winners, trainers and jockeys.
"If these walls could talk we would have a movie that's great, a number one seller," said Pam Pryor, chef and kitchen manager.
It's an atmosphere that welcomes regulars and newcomers, who Pryor said can order whatever they like.
"That's how you keep your customers, as long as their happy and you keep them happy, they'll keep coming back and they'll stay with you," said Pryor.
Next year, Wagner's Pharmacy will celebrate 100 years of business.
