Louisville hit a grim milestone this weekend, a local activist says. According to Christopher2X, the total number of homicides in so far 2020 has surpassed the total number of homicides in all of 2019.2X says there have been 91 homicide victims since the beginning of 2020. In 2019, there were 88 criminal homicides.“If we stay on current shooting pace, we could get to 100 Homicides by the end of August 2020,” 2X said.On Saturday, 2X said July was the deadliest month in years, according to data released from Louisville's Homicide Unit.LMPD officials confirmed the homicide totals as well.
