Louisville man now faces murder charge after Goldsmith Lane shooting victim dies
A Louisville man will now be charged with murder after the victim of a double shooting has died.
Police said Matthew Martin and one of the victims pulled out guns during an argument that happened at Martin's apartment on Goldsmith Lane on Oct. 16.
Following the argument, both victims were shot in the back as they ran down the hallway and were transported to University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Officers reportedly found several firearms and marijuana in Martin's apartment following his arrest.
Police said one of the victims, who was identified as 23-year-old Brandon Fultz, died from his injuries on Sunday.
Martin was initially charged with attempted murder and drug-related charges.
He is being held at Metro Corrections on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
