Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after five people were injured in three separate shootings throughout Louisville.The first two shootings happened in the Park Duvalle neighborhood. Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 3500 block of Shadyside Drive.When officers made it to the scene, they located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The second shooting happened at 3:45 p.m. in the 2800 block of Wyandotte Avenue.When officers arrived at the scene, they located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.All victims were transported to University Hospital. None of their injuries appears to be life threatening, police say.Officials say, a third shooting happened on Virginia Avenue under an overpass on I-264. When officers arrived they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.It happened as students at the West End School were moving in."I just came to support my grandson,” Judy Caldwell said. "My babies have to come to this school. It's not just happening far away. It's in our yards, in our front yards, and my babies are threatened by this every time they walk out of the house and I don't like it, I don't appreciate it, I don't like it."He was transported to University Hospital and is expected to survive.Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD's anonymous tip line.
