Police: At least 6 people shot, 3 killed in Louisville in span of 9 hours
Louisville Metro police are looking for suspects in several overnight shootings in Louisville.
According to police, at least six people were shot in five separate incidents. Three of those victims have died.
The most recent happened at 6 a.m. on S. 39th Street. That's where a man in his 20s was shot and killed.
Several hours before that, just before 3 a.m., one person was shot and killed on Crittenden Drive near Maylawn Avenue.
Police are reporting that a man in his 40s was pronounced dead on the scene. That person's name has not been released.
Just before midnight, police were called to the 4000 block of Taylor Boulevard.Police tell us a person was shot near a liquor store. That person was also taken to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to 26th and Greenwood in the Parkland neighborhood on a report of a double shooting.
Police say Richard Seymour, 33, died at the scene. A second person was taken to the hospital.
Just moments later, police were called to 16th and Magazine streets on a report of another shooting. Police say in that case a man in his 50s was taken to the hospital. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
