A man is dead after his son shot him with a crossbow and fled, police said.Louisville police said they were called to a home in the 7600 block of Petty Jay Court around 1 p.m. on Thursday.When they arrived they found a man dead. Police said the suspect, Gerald Beavers III, had hit his sister with a frying pan and then shot his father with a crossbow.The father died of his injuries. The extent of the sister's injuries was not immediately available.Police searched for Beavers for hours before he was brought into custody around 5 p.m.
