South Carolina lottery players win $1.5 million in January

Eight Palmetto Cash 5 players have had a lucky month, and three of them won their prizes on the same weekend.

SOUTH CAROLINA, USA — Over the weekend, three Palmetto Cash 5 players became top prize winners, bringing the total prize money this month to $1.5 million among eight players.

The weekend was a particularly fruitful time for South Carolina lottery players. According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the winning numbers from Friday's drawing corresponded with a ticket worth $100,000 sold at a Newberry BP on Highway 34. The numbers were 9, 15, 25, 27 and 30.

There were two winners on Saturday. An Island Ford Road store in Silver street called Dorrohs Grocery sold a ticket worth $100,000. Punit Disha LLC on Highway 9 West in Longs sold one worth $200,000. The winning numbers were 3, 11, 19, 27 and 35.

Winners have 180 days from the date of drawing to claim their prizes.
