Security guard stabbed at Columbia nightclub

The security guard was trying to break up a fight

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A security guard was stabbed outside a club when he tried to break up a fight Sunday night according to Richland County deputies.

Deputies responded to the R&B Club on Two Notch Road a little after 3 AM Sunday night for a fight in progress.  When deputies arrived they found the security guard, who has a stab wound to the lower body.  He said that a fight broke out inside the bar and that he got stabbed by an unknown person while trying to break it up. 

He was transported to a local hospital. 

While deputies were still at the club doing interviews, a different person arrived at the hospital with multiple stab wounds, that person said that he was stabbed after several people jumped whim while he was outside the club.
