A 10-acre sunflower field – one of the largest in the state of Ohio – is now in full bloom.Located in Alexandria, The Patch on 37 -- located at the Lynd Fruit Farm -- is at its peak, and the farm is allowing visitors this weekend for its sunflower festival. The field features 10 different kinds of sunflowers and a variety of photo opportunities. In celebration of the farm's 100th anniversary, Lynd Farms is holding a sunflower festival. The second and final weekend of that festival runs Aug. 23-25. Dogs are welcome to attend.Tickets are $20 at the gate or $15 tickets are available online a day in advance. In addition to viewing a beautiful sea of sunflowers, a ticket also entitles you to cut three sunflower stems of your choice; a wagon ride throughout the patch; a barrel train for the little ones; and dozens of photo opportunities, crafts, family games, music and food trucks.Admission is free for children 3 and under.
