A Goshen man is dead after a tragic accident while riding his bike on Wednesday.Friends said he was a man of God who shared the word of the Holy Bible whenever he could.Investigators said he died at Bethesda North Hospital.Family and friends met at the hospital to support one another and said they are comforted knowing his faith carried him on.People said it was never a surprise to find Carl Justice preaching at any location."I believe that all of you, hopefully, that you've all accepted Jesus Christ," Justice said during a video recording of a sermon.They said he would preach in places like a nursing home or online on Facebook.Pastor Robert Hughes, of the Butlerville Church of God, said Justice was an assistant pastor who helped people find their way and their faith."Carl and I go way back. His wife, my family, raised our kids together. We've been best friends for 51 years," Hughes said.His heart, like many in the tightly knit church, aches now that the father of four is gone."He'd preach on a minute's notice. He'd come in on Sunday morning at church time, and I'd say, 'Hey, Carl, how about preaching today?' It was never a problem," Hughes said.Ohio state troopers said Justice was hit by a truck while riding his bike on Goshen Road near Stumpy Lane in Goshen Township.Investigators said the truck tried to go around him.Friends said Justice was riding a bike to get healthier."He liked to have fun, and then you see the dedication he had with his wife, and that's what makes it so sad," church minister Michael Howard said.Still, Justice's legacy brings comfort after an unexpected tragedy."Don't worry about me. That'd be what he'd say. He done made his preparation. It's those that are not prepared he'd be concerned about," Hughes said.Neighbors said Justice and his wife have lived in the area where the crash happened for about two years.The pastor of the church said there will likely be a memorial or vigil service in the near future.So far, there is no word on exactly when that service may take place.Ohio state troopers said the driver of the truck declined any medical treatment.They said the crash is still under investigation.
