A man was arrested Tuesday night after a police chase in Silverton that ended in a crash, according to Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil.The crash began around 11:45 p.m. when a deputy tried to pull over a driver for a traffic stop, according to Neil.The driver, Jamin Posey, 32, then started to drive erratically on side streets in an attempt to avoid the deputy, Neil said. The deputy stopped pursuing the car after losing sight of it near Montgomery Road and Ridge Avenue, Neil added.The car was found shortly after where it crashed into a utility pole on Montgomery Road, according to Neil.Posey was taken into custody and then transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Neil said.Charges are pending at this time, and alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash, police said.
