State-of-the-art glamping site coming to heart of Kentucky
A state-of-the-art glamping site is coming to the heart of Kentucky.
Bespoke Campgrounds announced the groundbreaking for Kentucky’s newest travel destination and $3 million “glamping” site – Camp Bespoke. The new facility will set on 31 acres in Horse Country, located in Williamstown, Kentucky.
Over the past decade, glamping has gone from a hip niche to a popular lodging favorite around the world. It's a blend of "glamorous" and "camping," a style of camping with luxurious amenities.
"Camp Bespoke will provide travelers with a unique, adventurous, and sustainable experience through activities, hospitalities, and accommodations all while supporting local businesses and demographics," a release from the company said.
The facility will open in two phases.
The first will accommodate 200 guests in cabins and cottages, sourced from repurposed shipping containers with modern architecture elements as well as Sioux-style tipis.
The cabins sleep 4-8 people, while the cottages sleep 2-4 people. The tipis sleep up to 8 people.
All accommodations are outfitted with bathrooms, mini-split units and a kitchenette. In addition, the campground will have family-friendly movie nights, live entertainment and life-sized games located throughout the property.
These facilities are slated to open to the public in October.
Phase two is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2021. This will expand the property to include additional lodging accommodations, a conference center, event pavilion and an outdoor amphitheater.
The glamping site is the first majority Black, female-owned glamping site in the region. The project breaks ground on Aug. 12.
