Dillon County Sheriff’s Office confirms hostage situation ends in Lake View

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office said a hostage situation is over in Lake View after it began several hours ago.
Dillon County Sheriff’s Capt. Cliff Arnette said they were called to the incident on Tuesday on Joann Branch Road. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division were also called in to assist.
Arnette said there were no serious injuries and that the suspect was in custody.
He couldn’t say how many people were inside the home during the hostage situation.
It’s not clear what led up to the hostage situation.
