JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) - Graduation rates in the Magnolia State hit an all-time high.

The high school graduation rate for the 2018-2019 school year was 85%. That’s two percent higher than the last year.

On top of the more high schoolers finishing school, the dropout rate too fell to an historic low of 9.7%.

In 2014 the drop out rate was nearly 14%.

Graduation rates for 2018-19 will be reflected in the accountability ratings for the 2019-202 school year.
