Police: 2 women missing with dementia found safe

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (KAIT) - West Memphis Police say they’ve found the two missing West Memphis women, who were last seen around 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.

According to a post on the West Memphis Police Department’s Facebook page, the two women, Carol Son and Mary Gibbs were found safe, with family just outside of Marked Tree.

Arkansas State Police had issued a Silver Alert for the pair, Thursday night, after the woman hadn’t been seen since 11 a.m. near Hope House Ministries in the 600-block of Highway 77 in West Memphis.

Authorities said both women suffer from dementia.

The West Memphis Police Department thanked all the law enforcement agencies as well as all the community members that actively assisted them in the search.
