POLICE: Dover woman arrested, accused of stabbing boyfriend

DOVER, Del. – A Dover woman is facing multiple charges after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in the early hours of the morning on Saturday.

Police say they received reports about a domestic incident involving a stabbing around 4 AM on Saturday near Kentwood Drive. Upon arrival, troopers reportedly saw a 32-year-old man outside with stab wounds.

According to police, 35-year-old Lenquesha Whitehurst had stabbed her boyfriend while a 13-year-old was inside the home. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Whitehurst has been charged with assault first degree and endangering the welfare of a child. The Dover woman was released on a $21,000 dollar unsecured bond.
