Police: Dover home invasion under investigation

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a home invasion that happened late Thursday night in the 200 block of North Queen Street in Dover.

Police say at around 11:45 p.m., a male and female knocked on the door to a residence and asked for a person by name. A 53-year-old female occupant told them that person was not home, but approximately one minute later, the suspects knocked again. This time, a different female occupant answered the door, and the suspects forced their way into the home, each with a handgun.

We’re told the suspects stole a Fire tablet from the victims, and at one point picked up a 4-year-old child and dropped him, causing minor injury to the child. The suspects then fled in possibly a newer model black passenger vehicle with tinted windows.

The first suspect was described as a male in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a black jumpsuit, with a black handgun. The second suspect was described as a female with a thin build, wearing a black jumpsuit with a hood pulled tightly over her head/face, and a black mask covering her nose and mouth.
