Three arrested in connection to early morning burglary at Dover McDonalds

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they have arrested three suspects in connection to a burglary that took place early Monday morning.

Police say they responded to the McDonalds restaurant on Forrest Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. after managers discovered that a safe was open and the contents were missing. It was determined that the suspects got into the building through a roof access door and stole an unknown amount of cash from the safe.

Further investigation led police to identify 18-year-old Micaiah Brown, 19-year-old Dymier Bowers, and 22-year-old Kristofer Gamboa-Yepez as suspects. Police say all of the suspects were either current or former employees of the Forrest Avenue McDonald’s location.

All three suspects were taken into custody later in the day, and were found in possession of a large sum of cash at the time of their arrest. They were also wearing the same/similar clothing that was worn during the burglary.

All three were charged with third degree burglary, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, possession of burglar tools, illegal gang participation, theft $1500 or greater, and second degree conspiracy. Bowers was held at SCI on $6,100 secured bond, Brown was held at SCI on $14,100 secured bond, and Gamboa-Yepez was released on his own recognizance.
