Four people were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Wakefield Monday afternoon.>> Download the FREE WMUR appAt 2:34 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a head-on collision on Route 16, just north of Stoneham Road. A 2011 Subaru Outback towing a trailer had been traveling northbound when it collided with a 2018 Subaru Outback headed southbound, in the two-lane passing area north of Stoneham Road. That portion of the road was partially closed while emergency crews responded.All four people involved in the crash were transported to local hospitals.
