Why did you decide to run for office: I decided to run for office to implement my vision for Jacksonville, lowering crime, improving bicycle/pedestrian safety, lowering municipal debt.

What is the biggest problem facing Jacksonville as a city overall, and how specifically would seek to address that: Jacksonville's biggest problem is violent crime. I would restore annual funding for the Jacksonville Journey to the 2008 level, and solicit a permanent private sector endowment of at least $30 million.

What makes your constituents unique, and how would that influence your time in office: District 14 constituents are unique because they represent the youngest demographic in Jacksonville. My priority will always be District 14's youth, education, and Jacksonville's future.

What would be your main budget priority for the upcoming fiscal year: My main budget priority for the upcoming fiscal year will be increasing the funding for the Jacksonville Journey and relatively lowering all other budgets. Criminal justice is job one, and Jacksonville's zero sum gain.

How do you define what you hope Jacksonville will be ten years from now: I hope to define Jacksonville as a safer, more prosperous community ten years from now.
