Jacksonville homeowner shoots armed woman inside his home

Jacksonville, FL — A homeowner in the Paxon area of Jacksonville’s westside shot and injured a woman who was inside his home.

According to Jacksonville Police, the homeowner said the woman was armed with a rifle that belonged to the homeowner’s wife.

The homeowner, who was armed, shot the woman.  She was taken to UF Heath with injuries that were not life-threatening.

JSO says it detained all parties while it investigates what happened.
