A CITY football pitch could be in line for a revamp if councillors approve plans today.

Claines Lane, home of Worcester Raiders and several other football teams, would get a new 3G artificial pitch, floodlights, new changing rooms and new office space if the plans win backing.

A new 100-seat stand is also included in the plans.

Worcestershire County Council has agreed to sell the land to the Worcestershire FA and if approved, the WFA will will move to Claines Lane.

A decision is due to be made by the city council’s planning committee at the Guildhall this afternoon.
